Kate Daly Ritchie is a painter and designer based in Sherborn, Massachusetts. Her plein air paintings are inspired by the changing light and moods of the New England seasons.

Kate begins her work using drawing and observation, simplifying complex scenes down to the most essential. She hopes to capture the unique essence of a particular place and time on site.

In the studio, Kate pulls from both her direct observations, memory and color experimentation to convey the experience of place through her work.
